An innocent man once again, Starbuck rejoins his loyal-to-the-end friend and Triad game partner Apollo, where he is also cheered on by sports fans across the Colonial fleet, as well as his dearest friends, in this warm-hearted character scene that the Classic Galactica series always did best, closing Murder on the Rising Star.

CLASSIC IMAGE: LIKE A DAGGIT ON A SUN SPOT!

It's a bad time to be cooped up in a cockpit for Lt. Starbuck, agitated after his recent steam burn injuries, and especially at a time when he, Apollo and comrade Boomer are about to go flying near-blind into the middle of an ultrabright starfield, the Nova Madogan, littered with Cylon mines!

Incredulously, their current locale is seemingly deserted, our duo unaware that the Cylon's Imperious Leader has now arrived at the base for an important gathering...

In a deleted scene, Starbuck and Boomer follow the Gold Centurion and his guards to the command centre from the audience chamber corridor, once the Colonial bombings of the city have started.

Dirk checks his script between shooting action scenes.

A US TV/celebrity magazine covers Dirk Benedict enjoying Starbuck's new all-black combat outfit, during The Living Legend's location filming.

CLASSIC IMAGE: THE APOLLO MYSTERY!

The mystery of the garbled communication signal found by Apollo gets even more mysterious in regards to its origins, with even Boomer's tech skills not yet able to penetrate its enigmatic revelations. A memorable scene from The Hand of God.

Starbuck thinks he's king of the hill when it comes to all things gambling, but could his lucky streak be running out on him as an Armistice Day Pyramid game with the card shark pilots from Gemon turns sour. Time is running out, as Boomer indicates to Starbuck.

Wolfe is concerned that his own escape plan could be compromised by Croft.

As Croft volunteers to get Thane back, Starbuck intercedes to investigate, but not before stopping Boxey from following him, and issuing the youngster with new orders to protect his fellow children.

A partial deleted scene from the story.

"Dad said to keep an eye on you!" Boxey tells Starbuck when he plans to go without him.

The expedition, with Muffey, gathers.

Apollo: 'Where's Starbuck?'

As Starbuck takes point with Tenna, he begins flirting with her, wondering to her how she can help him become acclimatized and warmed up to the cold environment. The flirting banter between Starbuck and Tenna was ultimately toned down in the final two-part version, with Starbuck given a more serious and guilt-ridden edge during the mission in his search for Cadet Cree, handled via additionally filmed material (which is noticeable in the two-part version due to Dirk Benedict's longer hair between filming bouts, somewhere between The Lost Planet of the Gods and The Lost Warrior).

Taking point, Starbuck gets friendly with Tenna. This scene would be replaced with an alternate one of more serious note in which Starbuck asks Tenna about the location of Cylon captured prisoners.

'ICE PLANET ZERO' AT 45: THE THETA CLONES JOIN THE FIGHT!

Now recovered from di-ethene poisoning on the outside plateau to which their Snowram was prior trapped, our Galactica party find that they have been rescued by a band of renegade clones fighting the Cylons who have taken over their world and enslaved the Thetans' 'Father Creator' - the revered human scientist Doctor Ravashol, the inventor responsible for the pulse energy lens communication system now being used as a weapon by the Cylons.

The Colonial Team awakens to find themselves rescued.

Our heroes awaken in a new environment clearly indicating an ongoing conflict against the Cylons. A deleted scene moment.

Are their rescuers friend or foe?

Wolfe has a simple plan: jump 'em and get outta here.

Haals, to the underground Thetan community being held by the Cylons, so as to meet Ravashol.

Now the team begins to check on their wounded and equipment but know they will have to evacuate to the Snowram as soon as possible, what with the Cylons surely knowing their crashed position from the air.

Starbuck is soon consoled by Boomer than only his friend's piloting skills saved them from death.

Leda tends to the injured Vickers, of which Voight is also in need of medical help.

Wolfe and Thane try to help the injured Voight and keep him warm.

In the meantime, Wolfe has managed to secure a blaster from one of the injured warriors. Later, he and Thane confront Croft, whom they are disappointed in at his return to being loyal to his former jailers, over their plans to make a break from their captors as soon as they are able...
