CLASSIC ART: THE CYLON MASTER PLAN!

The Cylon's Imperious Leader has hatched his most diabolical plan yet to destroy the Galactica and her human fugitive fleet from the inside out, with the help of a conditioned human traitor, in another fine entry from the classic Look-In magazine in the UK. I sure wish someone could do a special compilation of all the strips one day. The series deserves it.

Superb art, as always, from British comics great Martin Asbury, during November 1979.

'GALACTICA' AT 40: WHEN 'WORZEL' MET 'GALACTICA'!

You could always count on the UK children's TV listings/feature magazine Look-In to bring together cover stars of the most eclectic kind, as especially seen here - both Cylon and Galactica fused with the comedic British scarecrow comedy figure of Worzel Gummidge (as played by another sci-fi TV legend in former Doctor Who Jon Pertwee) for this fun 1979 artwork created by magazine cover regular artists Arnaldo Putzu.

Apollo confronts the Imperious Leader in a classic adventure.

The highly enjoyable Starloggd blog spot has a fun look back at the UK GALACTICA strip, from the iconic talent of artist Martin Asbury, and features that were so popular in the LOOK-IN comic magazine of 1979/80, of which the series first appeared in its weekly pages before it actually made its premiere on the ITV regions.

CLASSIC ART: LOOK OUT FOR LOOK-IN!

Anyone in the UK who loves classic GALACTICA and originally watched it on the ITV channel in 1979/1980 will know all about the excellent LOOK-IN children's magazine picture strips that accompanied it. With sterling art by now film storyboard artist Martin Asbury, they were great fun and full of action and adventure that mostly captured the spirit of the series.

From October 1979, this special cover was the issue that launched the strip and had an accompanying introductory feature.
