Soon passing its incredible 45TH ANNIVERSARY legacy, this is a celebration of the classic, world popular original TV series from 1978, created by Glen A. Larson for UNIVERSAL TELEVISION. Re-live the heroic adventures of the crew of the mighty GALACTICA, fleeing the Cylon tyranny, in its epic search for the lost Thirteenth Tribe on Earth.

CLASSIC IMAGE: THE FEMALE FACTOR!
We need very little persuasion to celebrate many of the stunning and capable female Colonial Warriors of the Galactica fleet, as well as the terrific ladies who played them. So this lovely composition from series longtime fan Wiilie T proved another fine blog entry incentive!

CLASSIC IMAGE: BRIE'S IN THE VIPER SEAT!
She's one of the rawest of the Viper pilot recruits, but you can't fault Cadet Brie for her enthusiasm, proving her worth as a new pilot for Blue Squadron (eventually) after the events of Lost Planet of the Gods, appearing in War of the Gods part one for a final appearance.

CLASSIC IMAGE: READY FOR THE MISSION!
A top model perhaps best known for her work on the US soap DYNASTY, the truly gorgeous Leann Hunley gets ready for blast off in her Colonial Viper, in a scene from Lost Planet of the Gods Part One. Miss Hunley would reappear as the same character later in the season, with the episode The Man With Nine Lives.

CLASSIC ART: SHAPELY SKY PILOTS!
Frank Frazetta's sexy interpretation of Galactica's female warriors (we assume Athena is the one holding the helmet) springing to action against the Cylons, from early publicity linked to Lost Planet of the Gods, would prove one of the most memorable and iconic art pieces linked to the classic series. The overhead Cylon Raiders and landed Vipers also prove an intriguing variation on what we're normally used to seeing.
