From every corner of the destroyed Twelve Colonies they'd come, all carrying the last remnants of humanity to be protected by the mighty shepherd warship that is the Battlestar Galactica. A great effects shot showing the beginnings of the rag-tag fleet from Saga of a Star World.
Soon passing its incredible 45TH ANNIVERSARY legacy, this is a celebration of the classic, world popular original TV series from 1978, created by Glen A. Larson for UNIVERSAL TELEVISION. Re-live the heroic adventures of the crew of the mighty GALACTICA, fleeing the Cylon tyranny, in its epic search for the lost Thirteenth Tribe on Earth.

CLASSIC IMAGE: IN ALLIANCE CONTROL!

Things certainly won't be great for the soon arriving Colonial warriors Sheba and Boomer, in this ominous moment from the memorable Baltar's Escape.

CLASSIC IMAGE: AN ALTERNATE FLEET!
Not something seen in the original Saga of a Star World, but a fun composite image of some kind of Colonial Fleet, and with two mighty Battlestar protectors no less, presumably put together by the Apogee team, and used for publicity and merchandisers (namely for puzzles) of 1978.

A great side angles look at the primary Rag-Tag fleet models used in the pilot/series filming, including the Colonial Movers vehicle, the prison barge, the later-named Celestra, a three-tier fuel processing ship (seen approaching Carillon in the pilot episode) and another unknown vessel.

CLASSIC IMAGE: THE SPACE PRISON!
Originally one of the generic ships shown in the Galactica's Rag-Tag fleet, this vessel soon became the ominous Prison Barge holding the remaining scum and villainy of humanity for later episodes of the weekly series.
