CLASSIC ART: 'LAUNCH FIGHTERS!"

A superb early storyboard for Galactica's pilot episode showing a vast array of Colonial Fighters launched from the mighty Battlestar against the oncoming surprise attack by the Cylons. In the final version of the episode we got a looking down side shot of only three vipers launching outwards.

BEHIND THE SCENES: THE ORIGINAL CYLONS

Looking more like the Ovions later seen in the pilot episode, and with origins here that see them resemble the alien humanoid race descendants referred to in often deleted dialogue during the series genesis, this early Cylon trio seen in storyboard form are piloting their raider vessel into attack, during the early events of Saga of a Star World.

With the Colonial Fleet near total destruction from a thousand Cylon ships during their sneak-attack, our shocked command deck heroes on the Battlestar Galactica presumably look toward the ailing Atlantia in this great storyboard art from Saga of a Star World.

CLASSIC ART: DEATH STRAFE!

The merciless Cylaon raider armada continues its brutal sneak attack on the defenceless human colonist of Caprica, in this great early storyboard art for Saga of a Star World, by Carl Ardana. Presumably its Lyra/Serina watching the attack run in front of her.

CLASSIC ART: DEATH OF THE PEACE PROCESS!

A victim of the Cylon fleet sneak attack, the mighty Battlestar Atlantia is destroyed in this excellent effects storyboard (by Joe Johnston?) from 1978 for Saga of a Star World.
