CLASSIC IMAGE: FUN WITH 'CAPTAIN DIMITRI'

It seems that everyone wants to get in on the act of posing for fun pictures with the legendary Fred Astaire, as a happy Lance LeGault sheds his villainous Borellian Noman machinations of revenge for this great pic taken during the filming of The Man With Nine Lives in 1979.

CLASSIC IMAGE: DEADLY REUNION!

Starbuck's long-lost father he might well prove to be, but the lovable rogue Chameleon, aka The Man With Nine Lives, might end up losing all of them, as the duo discover shadowy intruders within the Galactica's Alpha landing bay, in this memorable scene for the legendary Fred Astaire and the in-awe Dirk Benedict.

CLASSIC IMAGE: WHAT'S IN A NAME?

Probably the classic series greatest guest star, acting/dance legend Fred Astaire was simply marvellous as the aging conman who might just be the father of that equally lovable rogue-of-sorts Starbuck, in the highly-regarded episode The Man With Nine Lives. Had the series continued for a second year, I'm sure Astaire/Chameleon would have returned for more comedy escapades with a genuinely awestruck Dirk Benedict.

CLASSIC IMAGE: DAD?

A great posed image of Fred Astaire and Dirk Benedict on the Galactica bridge set, from one of my favourite episodes of the weekly series: The Man with Nine Lives, where Astaire shined as the wily con-man, and possible father to Starbuck, Chameleon.

CLASSIC IMAGE: FAMILY VALUES!

At the gaming table of the Rising Star, Starbuck finds his life suddenly turned upside down in his first encounter with that lovable rogue Chameleon, in a scene from the cast and crew favourite episode, The Man With Nine Lives, guest starring the legendary Fred Astaire.

HAPPY CHRISTMAS FROM CLASSIC 'BATTLESTAR GALACTICA'

May the Lords of Kobol bless all fans of Classic GALACTICA during the Holiday Season.

See you in '14!

CLASSIC IMAGE: LIKE FATHER, LIKE SON?

Special guest star Fred Astaire makes a tremendous impression as an actor, and as the character of Chameleon, on both Starbuck and Dirk Benedict, in the classic Galactica episode The Man With Nine Lives.

CLASSIC IMAGE: FATHER AND SON?

Here's another fun bit of nostalgia-one of those great US TV GUIDE clippings promoting the series, in particular THE MAN WITH NINE LIVES, guest-starring the late, great Fred Astaire in a fine performance as the con-man Chameleon, who may, or may not, be Starbuck's father. A fun episode, with a terrific pairing of Astaire and Dirk Benedict, and a great introduction to the Borellian Nomen.
