The countdown to the attacks on both the Cylon Garrison and the Pulsar Cannon control station is soon approaching as Leda, Croft and Apollo get ready to make their last stand surprise assault and plant their explosives...

'ICE PLANET ZERO' AT 45: PERIL IN THE INTAKE PIPE!

No sooner have the Colonials penetrated the intake pipe then they have to hold on for dear life as the tunnel shaft is activated. Thankfully, its duration is mercifully brief and they finally infiltrate the control/pump station area, readying themselves for attack.

Apollo and his colleagues brace themselves through intense air pressure and noise.

Their objective achieved...

It's been a long and difficult climb, but our three Colonial heroes reach the vital point of the mountain that will lead them into the Pulsar Weapon control area and the section which needs to be exploded...

Now in the firing corridor, and within tracking range, it's only a matter of time before the Cylons will surely destroy the last Battlestar...

'ICE PLANET ZERO' AT 45: THE ESCAPE BID!

A shocking surprise for Apollo.

The time has come when, upon reaching the ridge, Wolfe and Leda hold Apollo at gun point as they prepare to steal a nearby Cylon fighter. Apollo's reaching out to Wolfe and Leda to help destroy the weapon fails, and as Wolfe prepares to kill Apollo, a distracting pulsar blast helps Croft surprise tackle and fight his criminal associate, and retrieve his blaster. As Wolfe runs into the snow, Croft prepares to kill him, but ultimately hesitates. Apollo knows that Wolfe will never make it to the Cylon landing area...

A dignified Croft forces Leda to help him and Apollo in the final stages of their mountain ascension. They have a mission to complete, and a fleet of human survivors to save from annihilation...

Wolfe holds his concealed blaster on Apollo.

Apollos attempts at reason fail...

Croft tackles and fights Wolfe.

Croft takes aim at the retreating Wolfe, but hesitates...

Wolfe disappears into the snow.

Croft forces Leda back to the Colonial cause.

Croft is now put in full command. "This mission goes through..."

'ICE PLANET ZERO' AT 45: THE FLEET FORMS UP!

An interesting group shot of the fleet, featuring some rarely seen space vehicles from the series.

Knowing that the Galactica can no longer be the slowest vessel of the Rag-Tag fleet, the mighty vessel speeds its way into the death corridor of the pulsar, whilst the survivor vessels behind it are given orders to increase interval spacings and also bolster their speed near their protector vessel.

Another close shave for the Galactica as its bridge crew react to the continuous bombardment of Arcta's pulsar weapon against them, which generates too many and numerous destructive near misses. 

The energy beams grow closer and closer...

And the Cylon Basestars are closing in behind them...

A tense sequence of building threat that was well edited for this episode...

It's another near miss for the Galactica and the rag-tag fleet as they are forced to move forward in grouped batches within the deadly spacial corridor of pulsar cannon fire consistently emanating from Arcta. And time is running out for the Colonial ground team to achieve their destructive aims...

'ICE PLANET ZERO' AT 45: RAVASHOL BACKS THE HUMANS!

Stopping a potential revolt that could sabotage the Cylon garrison attack plan, Dr Ravashol convinces his clones to aide the humans, their brothers, in the final battle against the metal enemies, promising them that they will be protected in case of any future retaliations.

'ICE PLANET ZERO' AT 45: A BREAK-IN RESCUE FOR CREE!

Dropping down from the ceiling of the cold cells bay, Starbuck boldly and swiftly takes out the two Centurion guards and rescues the young Colonial pilot, whose legs have been weakened from the cold cell storage...

The sequence, filmed as part of the original movie length shoot, would have a prior extra sequence added to it shot during the start of the weekly series, with Starbuck and Tenna opening the emergency hatch above the cell bay for Starbuck to gain access. Once again, the noticeable length of Starbuck's hair in the scene is the key giveaway to the extra filming.

'ICE PLANET ZERO' AT 45: AVALANCHE!

As the pulsar firing continues, so comes resultant ice and snow displacement hurtling down the mountain side as the burly Clone Ser 5-9 is injured in an immense avalanche descending on the Colonial expedition, his leg injury so severe that he ultimately will have to be assisted down the mountain ledge by Tenna as the remaining four members continue their mission, of which Leda and Wolfe are planning to escape as soon as they are on firmer ground atop the mountain.

The immense avalanche begins...

Apollo warns his colleagues: "Avalanche!"

Apollo races to push Croft away from the oncoming snow.

Croft owes Apollo his life.

Ser 5-9 has been seriously injured by a massive rock fall amidst the snow.

Supervised in its initiation by the presence of Centurion Vulpa, the Pulsar Cannon weapon begins firing at the system-approaching Galactica and its refugee fleet. 

The time for the destruction of humanity by the Cylons has begun...

Vulpa arrives at the pulsar station to inspect the weapon as it begins its new firing sequence.

Firing commences.

The Cylon fighter squadrons have returned to plague the far end of the Rag-Tag fleet and the Galactica, of which the Battlestar's highly skilled and battle-experienced Blue Squadron is now on its way to their fighter bays in retaliatory response!
