Our Colonial heroes and their Theta escorts are powerless to move forward towards the underground Clone community as one member of a Cylon patrol, directly above them in the ice ravine they are traversing, hears the brief but distinctive growl of Muffey the Daggit. In a wait that seems like an eternity, in which their presence could be revealed, the Centurion ultimately moves on to its assigned duties.
This scene made a perfect near cliffhanger ending to the two-part version of the story aired in late 1978.
