'ICE PLANET ZERO' AT 45: THE CLONE RESISTANCE!

Used to the beautiful but hostile environment of Arcta, the heroic clones Ser 5-9 and Tenna prove superb leaders guiding the Colonial heroes to the Theta Underground dwellings. Their strength of purpose is well realized in these lovely on-set publicity images of Denny Miller and former 'James Bond Girl' Britt Ekland, prestigious casting for the series originally planned second feature-length adventure, The Gun on Ice Planet Zero.

'ICE PLANET ZERO' AT 45: THE MISSION RESUMES...

Boomer surveys the snowy wilderness.

Now rested, hydrated and re-supplied, our Colonial Team returns to their mission, guided by the Clones to a new location: the underground Clone community of Arcta. A deleted sequence from the story.

The expedition, with Muffey, gathers.

Apollo: 'Where's Starbuck?'

As Starbuck takes point with Tenna, he begins flirting with her, wondering to her how she can help him become acclimatized and warmed up to the cold environment. The flirting banter between Starbuck and Tenna was ultimately toned down in the final two-part version, with Starbuck given a more serious and guilt-ridden edge during the mission in his search for Cadet Cree, handled via additionally filmed material (which is noticeable in the two-part version due to Dirk Benedict's longer hair between filming bouts, somewhere between The Lost Planet of the Gods and The Lost Warrior).

Taking point, Starbuck gets friendly with Tenna. This scene would be replaced with an alternate one of more serious note in which Starbuck asks Tenna about the location of Cylon captured prisoners.

'ICE PLANET ZERO' AT 45: THE THETA CLONES JOIN THE FIGHT!

Now recovered from di-ethene poisoning on the outside plateau to which their Snowram was prior trapped, our Galactica party find that they have been rescued by a band of renegade clones fighting the Cylons who have taken over their world and enslaved the Thetans' 'Father Creator' - the revered human scientist Doctor Ravashol, the inventor responsible for the pulse energy lens communication system now being used as a weapon by the Cylons.

The Colonial Team awakens to find themselves rescued.

Our heroes awaken in a new environment clearly indicating an ongoing conflict against the Cylons. A deleted scene moment.

Are their rescuers friend or foe?

Wolfe has a simple plan: jump 'em and get outta here.

Clone resistance force leaders Ser 5-9 (Denny Miller) and Tenna (Britt Ekland) soon introduce themselves.

The Colonials and Theta Resistance forces join together.

Discovering that the Colonials have solenite charges strong enough to destroy the laser, the renegade clones, led by Ser 5-9 (Denny Miller) and Tenna (Britt Ekland) agree to guide the human party, bar the wounded Voight, Vickers and Sgt. Haals, to the underground Thetan community being held by the Cylons, so as to meet Ravashol.

In a deleted scene, Apollo orders Haals (Curtis Credel) to stay behind to look after their injured colleagues Voight and Vickers.

'ICE PLANET ZERO' AT 45: INTO THE SNOWY WILDERNESS!

Now departed from the wrecked shuttle, the cramped Snowram braves the intense weather and heads off towards the mountain range housing the pulsar cannon, but soon enough their long and dangerous journey is sabotaged by human greed and anger from one of the so-called 'specialists'.

Though filmed primarily in the Burbank studios, the overall journey sequence would be bolstered with some fine additional snow location stock footage from the Universal vaults, alongside eerie music from the series talented composer Stu Phillips.

'ICE PLANET ZERO' AT 45: ATTACK FROM THE AIR!

As the Snowram exits the shuttle to take on the landing party, it soon comes under attack from a lone Cylon raider. As Starbuck mans the gun to destroy it (poorly represented with stock footage of the Cylon Basestar being destroyed on Carillon from Saga of a Star World!), he soon gets a surprise with the appearance of Boxey to congratulate him with his victory!

'ICE PLANET ZERO' AT 45: SNOWRAM STOWAWAYS!

"Muffit wanted to see snow.."

Charging up the Snowram, Apollo gets a shock when he discovers that Boxey and Muffey, prior managing to evade all of the likely security protocols on the Galactica, have amazingly stowed away in the vehicle, during the most dangerous mission the Colonial Forces have yet undertaken since leaving the destroyed colonies...

Lovely behind the scenes shot of Noah Hathaway and Richard Hatch during studio filming inside the Snowram at Universal Studios.

'ICE PLANET ZERO' AT 45: SITUATION - CRITICAL!

Boomer checks on the injured Starbuck within the crashed shuttle.

Emergency lights soon activated, the Galacticans have survived the crashlanding on Arcta but only just, thanks to the piloting skills of a head-wounded Starbuck. Now the team begins to check on their wounded and equipment but know they will have to evacuate to the Snowram as soon as possible, what with the Cylons surely knowing their crashed position from the air.

Starbuck is soon consoled by Boomer than only his friend's piloting skills saved them from death.

Leda tends to the injured Vickers, of which Voight is also in need of medical help.

Wolfe and Thane try to help the injured Voight and keep him warm.

In the meantime, Wolfe has managed to secure a blaster from one of the injured warriors. Later, he and Thane confront Croft, whom they are disappointed in at his return to being loyal to his former jailers, over their plans to make a break from their captors as soon as they are able...

Unseen by the others Wolfe steals Voight's blaster.

A rare close-up look at a Colonial sidearm prop.

As seen in the episode.
