Promoting their new season of big-name family entertainment in late 1978, ABC TV commissioned this lovely promo poster for all its new Sunday TV movies to be debuted, of which Battlestar Galactica was a vital part, especially with its opening pilot and Gun on Ice Planet Zero (originally to have been a two-hour movie of the week). The familiar face of Lorne Greene, then more well known for the hit western series Bonanza, was one of the main selling images, with a fearsome Cylon Centurion lingering behind him.
