A skilled Viper pilot-one of the best of Commander Adama's Blue Squadron strike wing, Lt. Boomer is also a loyal and valued friend to Captain Apollo and Lt. Starbuck- they comprise a unique and effective triad who come into their own during the shocking events facing the remains of the Twelve Colonies of Mankind and their flight into the unknown. Boomer's continued popularity is no surprise, having been played with such warmth and respectability by regular US TV actor Herb Jefferson, Jr., of which his many humorous scenes with Dirk Benedict's cocky Starbuck were always a highlight.
