The overhead Cylon Raiders and landed Vipers also prove an intriguing variation on what we're normally used to seeing.

Originally one of the generic ships shown in the Galactica's Rag-Tag fleet, this vessel soon became the ominous Prison Barge holding the remaining scum and villainy of humanity for later episodes of the weekly series.
